Volvo Trucks is restructuring the cross-border transportation value chain in China

In 2025, global trade interconnectivity continues to accelerate, driving explosive growth in market demand for cross-border transportation. For example, according to statistics from the China Road Transport Association, from January to November 2025, China's domestic TIR (International Road Transport) cross-border transportation operations have expanded to cover eight countries, involving 123 transport enterprises and completing 3,271 transport orders. This sector is playing an increasingly critical role in trade exchanges along the "Belt and Road" route.

The core characteristics of cross-border transportation—long distances, significant temperature variations, and high cargo value—impose extremely stringent requirements on the performance and quality of transportation equipment. In terms of efficient operation, the FH model, equipped with the D13K TC engine, delivers a maximum torque of 2800 N·m. It maintains a steady speed when climbing slopes and handling long uphill sections with ease, effectively ensuring timely transportation. Paired with a 1300L ultra-large fuel tank, it easily meets the single-trip cross-border transportation demand of over 5000 km, completely alleviating range anxiety and establishing a solid foundation for profitability in high-cost cross-border transportation scenarios.

Volvo Trucks has developed a comprehensive three-dimensional safety system comprising "active warning, passive protection, and specialized configurations. The entire vehicle extensively utilizes high-strength HSS steel and meets the world's most stringent Swedish collision test standards, as well as the European NCAP five-star certification. This ensures the occupant survival space remains intact even under a static 15-ton roof crush scenario. The newly upgraded VDS dynamic steering system can respond to wheel slippage, blowouts, and other emergencies within 1.5 seconds. Additionally, full-dimensional safety features such as FCW (Forward Collision Warning) and AEBS (Automatic Emergency Braking System) create a robust "safety barrier" for the transportation of high-value goods.

In terms of comfort, to address the extreme temperature variations caused by cross-border transportation across different latitudes, the vehicle's cab is equipped with reinforced insulation materials that improve insulation performance by approximately 40% while effectively reducing noise. Systems such as a 6 kW cab engine heater and fuel line heating work in tandem to completely resolve issues like urea crystallization and cold-start difficulties in extremely cold environments, ensuring stable operation under various complex climatic conditions. Combined with a flat-floor cab, a three-stage adjustable steering wheel, and a 12-inch LED dynamic digital instrument panel, the vehicle offers comprehensive comfort for drivers.

With exceptional product strength, the Volvo FH model has distinguished itself by consecutively winning prestigious honors such as the "2025 Cross-Border Transportation Value Leadership Model," "King of Cross-Border Transportation Trucks (2025)," and the "2025 Outstanding TIR Heavy Truck" award from the Sohu Julei Awards. More importantly, this model has undergone 32 years of rigorous global market testing, achieving cumulative sales exceeding 1.5 million units.
