The 21st China International Fire Equipment Technology Exchange Exhibition, hosted by the China Fire Protection Association, opened last month in Beijing. Under the theme "Technology Empowering Practical Applications, Boosting Industry Development, and Serving Fire Rescue, the event focused on key areas including emergency response, smart firefighting, and personal protective equipment. On the day of the event, Sany Heavy Industry's self-developed JP100 elevating jet fire truck, built on a Volvo FMX chassis, set a new record by achieving a maximum jet height of 159.66 meters. This accomplishment earned the Guinness World Record™ certification for "The Fire Truck with the Highest Water Jet (Prototype). This milestone reset the global benchmark for firefighting equipment technology.

The exceptional performance of this star equipment is built on Volvo's robust chassis technology. Its innovative five-axle chassis design is 10 tons lighter than comparable models and features one fewer axle, significantly enhancing maneuverability. Additionally, precise tuning of the chassis for passability achieves a minimum turning diameter of 23.7 meters, ensuring excellent maneuverability in complex urban environments such as narrow streets and densely built areas. This provides a strong foundation for rapid fire rescue response, fully demonstrating Volvo's technical expertise in the special-purpose vehicle chassis sector.
