Scania has launched two customized cross-border tractor units and a new mid-axle highway train in China

On May 14, 2026, Scania successfully hosted a cross-border highway logistics solutions seminar in Shanghai, themed “Boundless Journey, Trusted Delivery.” Addressing challenges such as long-distance travel, varied road conditions, and data blind spots, Scania introduced a comprehensive, customized solution encompassing products, services, and digital management.

---Two Core Customized Products
● Cross-Border Customized Tractor Units: Introduced the Super 460R 4x2 and Super 500R 4x2 models, equipped with standard features designed for extreme cold environments. These include enhanced cab insulation, a 210Ah AGM battery, a differential lock, and reinforced wind deflectors. The units optimize cargo volume through a lowered fifth-wheel height (as low as 1110 mm) and 315/60 R20 tires. Driver comfort options include independent parking heaters, large-capacity onboard refrigerators, and premium sleeping berths.

●  New Mid-Axle Highway Train: Built on the Scania Super 460R 6x2 chassis with a Kässbohrer curtain-sided trailer, it offers an unprecedented cargo volume of 123 m³, significantly enhancing per-trip profitability.
