Automotive parts made in China can be of premium quality

"Automotive News" officially released the 2026 Global Top 100 Automotive Parts Suppliers List on July 28, 2026. The ranking is based on each company's 2025 sales revenue from supporting automakers (OEMs), excluding income from the aftermarket and non-automotive businesses.

Chinese automotive parts companies have achieved a historic breakthrough this year, with a total of 17 firms making the list. For the first time, this number has surpassed that of the United States (16) and Germany (15), making China the country with the second-largest number of listed enterprises, second only to Japan. This demonstrates that Chinese manufacturers are no longer viewed as "cheap contract manufacturers" but have become key players in the global automotive industry. The enhancement of their international credibility and reputation results from a combination of technical expertise, market validation, and authoritative evaluations, marking a historic leap for "Made in China" in the high-end manufacturing sector—from a "quantitative change" to a "qualitative change."
